Business Excellence & Digital Transformation Engineer

Position Objective:

The Business Excellence & Digital Transformation Engineer supports the organization’s digital transformation and operational excellence initiatives by redesigning and digitizing end-to-end business processes. The role focuses on improving efficiency, governance, transparency, and customer experience by applying business excellence frameworks, process engineering methodologies, and digital enablement tools. The position acts as a bridge between business units, IT teams, and digital transformation initiatives.



Job Description & Responsibilities:

  • Lead enterprise-level AS-IS process discovery through workshops, stakeholder interviews, and data analysis.
  • Design and develop TO-BE process architectures aligned with business excellence frameworks such as Lean, Business Process Reengineering (BPR), and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Standardize business processes to support governance, compliance, auditability, and scalability.
  • Establish process ownership structures, RACI models, and governance frameworks.
  • Integrate quality management systems (QMS) and operational excellence standards within business processes.
  • Drive digital-first process design, reducing manual and paper-based activities.
  • Identify and prioritize digitization, automation, and system integration opportunities across the organization.
  • Redesign processes for implementation within BPMS platforms, workflow automation systems, ERP solutions, and low-code/no-code platforms.
  • Support initiatives related to Robotic Process Automation (RPA), intelligent automation, and process orchestration.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to define functional requirements, user stories, and automation logic.
  • Define and monitor KPIs, SLAs, and OLAs aligned with organizational performance objectives.
  • Enable real-time dashboards, analytics, and performance monitoring mechanisms.
  • Support process mining, analytics, and operational insights initiatives.
  • Track and report benefits realization and operational improvements resulting from digital transformation initiatives.
  • Ensure adherence to data governance, security, and compliance standards.
  • Engage stakeholders and promote organizational adoption of digital processes and tools.
  • Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs), user manuals, and training materials for digital systems.
  • Support employees transitioning from legacy systems to digital platforms.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and digital innovation across the organization.
  • Act as a trusted advisor on process excellence and digital enablement initiatives.
  • Work closely with IT teams, automation vendors, consultants, and business units.
  • Support cross-functional collaboration and enterprise-wide transformation initiatives.


Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
  • 4–6 years of experience in business excellence, business process management (BPM), or digital transformation roles.
  • Proven experience in BPMN 2.0 process modeling and process improvement initiatives.
  • Experience working with BPMS platforms, workflow automation tools, low-code platforms, ERP systems, or RPA solutions.
  • Experience defining and monitoring KPIs, SLAs, and OLAs.
  • CBPP / CBPL (Certified Business Process Professional) or equivalent BPM certification.
  • Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt or higher).
  • BPMN 2.0 (OCEB or equivalent) certification.
  • Certifications related to digital transformation, automation, or process improvement.
  • Business Process Management (BPM) and process engineering.
  • Process modeling using BPMN 2.0.
  • Digital transformation and workflow automation.
  • Data analysis and performance monitoring.
  • Stakeholder engagement and change management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and process documentation tools.
