Are you an organized, people-focused professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to make a meaningful impact every day? We are seeking a Business Office Manager (BOM) to lead the business operations of our senior living community while supporting a culture of dignity, compassion, and exceptional service.

About the Role

The Business Office Manager is responsible for all business-related operations of the community, including office management, accounting functions, compliance, and supervision of front office staff. This role works closely with the Executive Director and corporate partners to ensure financial accuracy, operational excellence, and outstanding customer service for residents, families, and team members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee office management and record keeping, including month-end close and corporate reporting

  • Manage accounts receivable and payable, ensuring timely billing, deposits, and invoice processing

  • Serve as system administrator for electronic billing and accounting platforms

  • Supervise, train, coach, and evaluate reception and office staff

  • Support resident move-ins by coordinating paperwork, contracts, and billing setup

  • Maintain compliance with all regulatory, safety, and company standards

  • Foster teamwork, professionalism, and a positive experience for residents, families, and visitors

  • Partner with the Executive Director on financial oversight, late payment follow-up, and operational planning

  • Proven experience supervising staff and managing office operations

Qualifications

Required:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Demonstrated management or supervisory experience

Preferred:

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in business or related field

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in assisted living or senior living

  • Experience with Microsoft Word & Excel; familiarity with Yardi and Heartland Payroll Systems a plus

Work Environment & Schedule

  • Full-time, non-exempt position

  • Professional office setting within a senior living community

  • Must be flexible to work occasional evenings or weekends as needed
