We're on the hunt for a leader to take the reins of our Physical Rehabilitation, Preventive Medicine, and Advanced Wound Care departments. You'll be the go-to expert, directing all business operations, expertly supervising and training front and business office staff, and acting as the vital link between our departments and key stakeholders like Patient Financial Services and HIM. If you excel at streamlining workflows, coordinating resources, and ensuring seamless administrative processes while upholding the highest standards of confidentiality, this is your chance to make a real impact!

Responsible and accountable for all business operations, including but not limited to: the quality and efficiency of charge entry (as dictated by current charge procedures), billing operations, payment collection, charge management, admitting procedures, patient scheduling, authorization, coding issues, documentation, electronic, paper and archived records, regulatory compliance and payment collections for cash-based services. (2) Establishes and maintains standards for quality and accuracy of all business operations from first point of contact through patient discharge for all outpatient and inpatient services.
Job Requirements
Required

Minimum of two years in a health care business setting.

Previous experience in an outpatient setting with responsibility for the business continuum of charge entry to billing collections.

Knowledge/competence in billing, coding, claims management, collection and cash management.

Requires previous computer experience with proficiency in healthcare financial, registration, health information storage, and documentation programs (Examples: Cerner, Lawson, McKesson Series/AS 400, Pathways Healthcare Scheduling, Horizon Patient Folder, and Horizon Business Folder.

Requires ability to effectively prioritize and complete multiple work tasks. Good organizational and problem-solving skills.

Requires strong interpersonal skills, particularly in verbal communication and active listening. Excellent teaching and training skills.

Ability to delegate and support other staff members' work duties without removing responsibility of others or oneself.

Excellent customer service skills. excellent phone skills.

Ability to work independently, demonstrate consistent initiative with prompt problem resolution and excellent follow-through on all tasks.
