Business Solution Analyst

Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst (Contract) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in analyzing business processes, translating data into actionable insights, and supporting strategic decision-making. The Business Analyst will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions that drive business growth and efficiency.

Responsibilities

Mandatory Qualifications:

• A minimum seven (7) FTE years of experience as a Business Solution Analyst applying analytical processes on an IT project.
• A minimum four (4) FTE years experience providing business analyst support for a large complex technical solution, with contract value of at least $1 million, involving all of the following:
• Functioned as the primary liaison between business and IT staff to elicit, document, analyze, and validate requirements, perform data analysis, and triage application issues.
• Worked with business and IT staff to design and process documentation, including Use Cases, Detailed Design, Work Flow Diagrams, Reference Guides, User Manuals and Requirements Traceability).
• Functioned as technical team member for application testing activities in one or more technical areas. Documented test plans, test scenarios and test scripts based on business requirements and high level designs. Created test data and executed test scripts. Documented results of testing activities, including creating and reporting test discovered defects. Designed, developed, executed, and maintained automated regression testing scripts.
• A *Bachelor's degree in a Business Administration, Information Technology (IT) or Engineering field.

Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year for year basis.

Desirable Qualifications:
The proposed Business Solution Analyst may also meet the following desirable qualifications:
Nine (9) FTE years of experience as a Business Solution Analyst applying analytical processes on an IT project.
Six (6) FTE years experience providing business analyst support for a large complex technical solution, with contract value of at least $1 million, involving any of the following:
Functioned as the primary liaison between business and IT staff to elicit, document, analyze, and validate requirements, perform data analysis, and triage application issues.
Worked with business and IT staff to design and process documentation, including Use Cases, Detailed Design, Work Flow Diagrams, Reference Guides, User Manuals and Requirements Traceability).
Functioned as technical team member for application testing
activities in one or more technical areas. Documented test plans, test scenarios and test scripts based on business requirements and high level designs. Created test data and executed test scripts. Documented results of testing activities, including creating and reporting test discovered defects. Designed, developed, executed, and maintained automated regression testing scripts.
Possession of a *Master's degree in a Business Administration, IT or Engineering field.
Current and valid Project Management Professional (PMP) * certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI) or Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) certification issued by Scrum Alliance or Scaled Agile Framework certification (SAFe) by SAFe Enterprise.

The proposed Resource’s resume(s) must include at a minimum: a) the resource job title, b) job description, c) dates of performance (Month/Date/Year), d) detailed description of duties performed, e) contact information, and percentage of time worked, if less than full-time. The Respondent must provide enough detail for the proposed resources to be evaluated. The proposed individual(s) must have worked on the job on a full-time basis for any qualifying experience. If an individual worked on overlapping projects, the percentage of time spent on a project must be identified on the resume. The State reserves the right to contact the Respondent and/or investigate each resume thoroughly to validate the information provided by the Respondent(s). Offers may be rejected if the resumes do not demonstrate the required experience.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $60.00 - $65.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
