Job Purpose:
The Business Support Manager (Saudi National is mandatory) provides comprehensive strategic, operational, and administrative support to the VP Operations/Cluster Head and serves as the primary focal point of contact for all matters related to the VP and the cluster office. The role drives the development and execution of cluster strategies, monitors performance, and supports the achievement of overall KPIs. It oversees executive administration including calendar management, meetings, minutes, and travel arrangements and manages full board governance responsibilities as Board Secretary for multiple project companies.
The position works closely with all key internal stakeholders, including CEOs of project companies, Plant General Managers of the O&M companies, Performance Assurance Team, and all enabling function departments, as well as external stakeholders and shareholders as required. The role ensures compliance with corporate policies, leads cross-functional coordination, supports audits and continuous improvement, and serves as a key advisor to enhance cluster performance and overall business effectiveness.
Strategic Planning and Performance Management:

Develop, maintain, and monitor the implementation of functional strategies across business units and sectors.

Conduct internal performance analyses to identify areas of underperformance and implement corrective actions to enhance cluster results.

Provide management with recommendations on optimal and balanced solutions to operational challenges.

Participate in business segment performance analyses to identify challenges and growth opportunities.

Monitor and follow up on cluster-wide strategy execution to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.

Provide support and guidance to supporting departments to ensure alignment with overall strategic direction.

Act as the single point of contact with business units for all portfolio management matters.
Administrative and Operational Support:

Serve as the gatekeeper for weekly and monthly cluster management meetings, ensuring effective follow-up on action items.

Perform a wide range of administrative tasks for the Cluster Head Office, including organizing events (townhalls, celebrations), arranging travel and itineraries, and timely submission of PRs for G&A services.

Support budget preparation for cluster office G&A services and related functions.

Review, consolidate, and prepare required documents for the Cluster Head, highlighting variances, risks, and areas for improvement.

Draft and consolidate business cases, reports, and presentations as needed.

Provide administrative support to cluster heads, including calendar management, meeting coordination, and travel arrangements
Board and Governance Secretariat Support:

Prepare and organize board meeting materials and ensure all supporting documentation is complete and provided in a timely manner.

Manage and maintain official board documentation and records.

Draft and issue accurate minutes of all board meetings.

Oversee shareholder agreement documentation and ensure proper governance controls are adhered to.

Coordinate issuance, tracking, and approval of board resolutions and relevant approvals.

Schedule, prepare, and facilitate board meetings, including distributing notices, agendas, and supporting materials.
Governance, Compliance, and Audit Oversight:

Develop and implement a cross-audit plan within cluster business units to verify compliance with corporate governance, policies, procedures, and contractual obligations.

Ensure execution of the cross-audit plan and conduct periodic surprise audits or surveys to verify compliance with internal and external governance requirements.

Act as a whistle-blower when material risks arise and ensure customer complaints are tracked, prioritized, and addressed in a timely manner.
People Management (If Applicable):

Manage junior staff by setting objectives, monitoring performance, and providing ongoing coaching and feedback to meet functional goals.
