Looking for a Senior Varicent Designer expert, not a generic Business Analyst, someone who is a hands on Varicent Designer builder and also acts like a solution architect.
The person will act as the in-house Varicent SME, working closely with an external implementation partner to build, validate, and own the incentive compensation system (ICM).
Initially: Heavy hands-on build (Varicent Designer)
Post go-live: Admin + enhancements + ownership
In phase 1: The candidate will actively build and validate the system.
In Phase 2: After launch, the role becomes system owner + optimizer.
Consultant must have at least 3+ years in Varicent, with 2 years specifically building in Varicent Designer (Must have built things (logic, workflows, models), strong SQL skills, and solid incentive compensation business process knowledge.
Consultant will work closely with an implementation partner during the build phase, creating workflows, calculations, tables, and reports, and later own admin, support, and enhancements.
Candidate will not have direct reports, but they must be senior enough to mentor the team, guide design decisions, and be the internal Varicent SME.

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Incentive Compensation Management (ICM) Analyst with deep expertise in Varicent ICM to lead the design, administration, and optimization of enterprise sales compensation programs. This role requires extensive hands-on experience with Varicent Designer, advanced calculation logic, and complex enterprise data environments.
The ideal candidate will partner closely with Sales Operations, Finance, IT, and Data Engineering to translate intricate compensation requirements into scalable system solutions that support Intuitive rapid growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and manage end-to-end compensation cycles within Varicent.
- Configure and maintain compensation plans, crediting rules, rate tables, quotas, and hierarchies.
- Execute monthly/quarterly commission calculations and validate outputs.
- Design and configure calculation logic, variables, and workflows in Varicent Studio.
- Maintain data models and system configurations aligned to business requirements.
- Implement plan changes, enhancements, and new incentive structures.
- Troubleshoot and resolve calculation errors and data issues.
- Perform data validation and quality checks using SQL and reporting tools.
