About Qonnect
Qonnect is a Qatari-owned technology integrator delivering ELV systems and smart home solutions across residential and commercial sectors. With a growing portfolio of completed projects and an established presence in the B2C market, we are now building the commercial engine to scale our ELV division into a dominant B2B player in Qatar. This role is central to that mission.
The Opportunity
This is a senior player-coach role — not a traditional management position. You will own the ELV business unit end-to-end: P&L, pipeline, team, and delivery. In the near term, you will be hands-on — personally building and closing B2B accounts while overseeing project delivery. As the business scales, your role evolves into full business unit leadership.
The role is structured in two clear phases:
- Phase 1 – Build (Months 1–12): Personally develop the B2B sales pipeline, close initial accounts, and oversee delivery with the existing team. Convert Qonnect's B2C track record into qualified B2B opportunities.Build and manage relationships with key stakeholders including contractors, consultants, developers, and government clients.
- Phase 2 – Scale (Year 2+): Transition to full BU leadership — delegate execution, build and manage a growing team, and focus on strategic growth and P&L ownership.
Earning potential is performance-linked and uncapped.
- Base salary: QAR 10,000–13,000/month
- Commission: 3.5% on all division revenue
Key Responsibilities
1. B2B Revenue Growth (Primary mandate)
- Build the B2B sales pipeline from the ground up, targeting contractors, developers, MEP consultants, and government entities in Qatar
- Convert Qonnect's existing B2C credibility, completed project portfolio, and vendor relationships into qualified B2B opportunities
- Own the full sales cycle: prospecting, lead generation, tendering, proposals, pricing, negotiation, and close
- Deliver against quarterly and annual revenue targets
2. P&L and Financial Accountability
- Own the division's P&L — revenue, gross margin, cost control, and profitability
- Contribute to annual budgeting and planning cycles
- Monitor project financials, cash flow, and subcontractor costs
- Report directly to company leadership with performance data and strategic recommendations
3. Project Delivery and Operations
- Ensure high-quality, on-time delivery of ELV projects (CCTV, Access Control, Structured Cabling, PA, AV, Fire Alarm, and related systems)
- Lead and develop the existing ELV delivery team
- Manage procurement, vendor relationships, and subcontractor performance
- Implement project tracking tools, KPIs, and continuous improvement processes
4. Team Building
- Lead and develop the existing team; recruit and expand as business grows
- Set clear performance expectations and build a culture of accountability and execution
What We're Looking ForExperience (Qatar-specific – required)
- 5–8 years of experience in ELV systems integration in Qatar, with direct involvement in B2B sales, tendering, and project delivery
- Proven track record of personally building and closing B2B accounts in Qatar's construction, real estate, or government sectors
- Active, established network of contractors, MEP consultants, developers, and/or government procurement contacts in Qatar
- Prior experience managing a P&L or running a business unit is strongly preferred
Technical Knowledge
- Solid working knowledge of ELV systems: CCTV, Access Control, Structured Cabling, AV, PA, Fire Alarm, and related technologies
- Able to review and contribute to technical proposals and BOQs without requiring hand-holding
Skills & Attributes
- Commercially driven with a hunter mindset — you build your own pipeline
- Comfortable operating in a lean, entrepreneurial environment with limited support infrastructure
- Strong communication and negotiation skills in both client-facing and executive settings
- Fluent in English; Arabic is a strong advantage
- Valid Qatar driving license (required)
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, IT, or a related discipline
- PMP, RCDD, or equivalent certifications are a plus
