The Opportunity

As the Buyer - YOU will be responsible for purchase order management, supplier development and cost savings. You will also support continuous improvement initiatives.

You will report to the Sourcing and Procurement Manager. On a given day, you may:

Manage assigned supply spend utilizing a Total Cost of Ownership methodology.
Manage relationships for assigned supply base ensuring understanding of our goals regarding Delivery, Quality, Inventory, Cost, and Risk
Conduct negotiations with assigned supply base to support our cost management process
Create inventory stocking and replenishment strategy for assigned supply base through data collection/analysis, internal collaborative discussion, and market intelligence.
Manage assigned relationships which includes purchase order creation/maintenance, expedites/de expedites, and date acknowledgement.
Do vendor onboarding, part number creation and maintenance, and maintenance of planning parameters for all serviced suppliers and replenishment locations

Knowledge of purchasing/supply chain/sourcing fundamental processes
Experience with data mining and management with Excel (can perform complex functions) .
Working knowledge of ERP functionality as it relates to job responsibilities.
Focus on teamwork and servicing internal and external customers.
High school diploma required.
3 years of procurement, sourcing or supply chain experience
Read fabrication and machining prints.
