Primary Purpose of the Job:

Responsible for the efficient and effective implementation of purchasing and supply processes from assigning of Purchase Requisition (PR) to issue of Purchase Order (PO) to ensure un-interrupted and timely supply of materials, equipment and related services to QatarEnergy Operations, Shutdowns, Projects, etc. and Affiliates, Joint Ventures etc., as required. Ensure visibility of material procurement through timely Business System updates as required. Ensure compliance to Policies, Procedures, Guidelines, Standards and Work Instructions, while maintaining strict confidentiality and adherence to high ethical standards in the procurement process. Support market trend analysis and implement risk management strategies.

Required Experience and Skills:

• Minimum of 8 years’ experience in a supply chain/ contracting environment is required, preferably in Oil and Gas, of which 4 years in a supervisory capacity.
• Fluency in verbal and written English is required.
• Knowledge of technical specifications, engineering standards, material testing procedures (ND1), and regulatory requirements in Oil and Gas industry.
• Proficient in MS Office suite, especially MS Word and MS Excel applications. Knowledge of SAP applications and operations is essential.
• Ability to perform in a demanding business environment.
• Excellent commitment, knowledge of risk management techniques.

Educational Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree, in a major Engineering discipline.
• Membership of international supply chain institution is desirable.
