Buyer II

Minimum Knowledge and Job Responsibilities:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred and minimum of 5 years’ experience directly in a purchasing role.
• Acts autonomously in making a majority of the daily decisions related to the commodities in which they oversee.
• Responsible for maintaining our online store (internal), including product selection, sourcing new vendors and quarterly evaluation.
• Maintain accurate inventory levels and validates inventory counts monthly (high value items only).
• Must demonstrate competency in effective purchasing techniques, sourcing and negotiating.
• Must have direct experience working with multiple suppliers and commodity classes.
• Experience with presentations; ability to conduct training sessions to explain the capabilities of the purchasing department.
• Assists Manager in annual budget process and in creating department procedures based on experience or seasonal demands.
