Purchasing of Raw and Finished Goods – Manufacturing & Control Valves - Manufacturing Environment

SFE Group is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Specialist with strong experience in control valve procurement, ERP systems, and advanced Excel capabilities. This role is critical to driving efficient material flow and supporting our manufacturing operations through strategic purchasing and work order execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Procure control valves, raw materials, MRO, and facility maintenance items from external suppliers, ensuring best price and delivery.
• Execute and maintain purchase orders based on ERP-driven demand (Syteline experience preferred).
• Create and manage work orders to support production flow and meet sales demand.
• Maintain accurate item master data including min/max levels, vendor details, and standard costs.
• Communicate urgent material needs and potential outages to internal stakeholders and executive leadership.
• Collaborate with logistics to optimize inbound shipments for cost and efficiency.
• Support inventory accuracy and integrity through proactive purchasing and documentation.
• Work within shared documents and TEAMS groups to keep cross-functional teams informed.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience buying control valves or similar industrial components.
• Strong working knowledge of ERP systems (Syteline preferred).
• Advanced Excel skills including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis.
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes and production scheduling.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• College degree or equivalent experience preferred.
