Buyer/Planner

Job Summary
We’re seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Buyer/Planner to manage both procurement and production planning activities. This hybrid role ensures that materials, components, and consumables are sourced efficiently and that production schedules align with inventory availability and operational goals.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain production plans based on demand forecasts and capacity constraints.
• Source, negotiate, and purchase raw materials, components, and consumables.
• Maintain continuous communication with vendors from placing the purchase order to receiving order confirmation, production scheduling confirmation, shipping time of arrival.
• Maintain optimal inventory levels to support production while minimizing excess stock utilizing Fishbowl Inventory System as well as Inventory Cards in compliance with Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
• Collaborate with approved suppliers to ensure timely delivery and resolve supply issues.
• Work closely with QA, Operations, and Warehouse teams to align inventory and quality standards.
• Monitor supplier performance and maintain accurate purchasing records.
• Analyze market trends and cost drivers to support strategic sourcing decisions.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across procurement and planning functions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in purchasing, planning, or supply chain roles.
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Experience with Fishbowl Inventory or similar inventory management systems.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
