Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Buying Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting the Director of Purchasing with purchasing activities and ensuring the timely procurement of goods and services.

Responsibilities
-Assist the Director of Purchasing with all daily tasks related to the purchasing department
-Coordinate receiving dates with vendors
-Corresponding with customer service and sales departments to answer questions and assist with resolving issues when it comes to purchasing and orders
-Follow up with vendors on product lead times
-Assist with open orders and back orders
-Assist with maintaining and updating records
-Assist with keeping track of credits, rebates, receiving invoices, etc.
-Assist with daily cycle counting sheets

Qualifications
-Proficient in basic Microsoft Office especially with Excel
- 2-5 years of experience, industry experience a major plus
-Excellent oral and written communication skills
-Ability to prioritize effectively
-Willing to bring new ideas to the table and work well within the team
-Detail oriented and possesses excellent organizational skills
-Self-driven and capable of both critical and analytical thinking
-Strong customer service skills
-High school diploma/GED (minimum)

We are located 4 blocks from M and R train, near buses.

Pay: $64,000.00 - $67,000.00 per year
