Johnstech’s Design & Drafting Team supports engineers through the creation of engineering designs, tooling and fixturing for our patented products. You will be responsible for preparing a variety of detail drawings and/or specifications, usually from completed engineering sketches, redline markup, CAD files, samples or layouts prepared/supplied by others.

Job Responsibilities:

Layout/draft contactors, components, tooling, fixturing specifications and other mechanical devices per design and drafting standards on either existing or new products.
Support product development design and test activity.
Assist engineers and designers in product design. May create simple concept designs.
Meet company objectives and goals on schedule.
Adhere to company design and drafting standards.
Participate as team member to aide in departmental improvement initiatives.
Other duties as needed.

Job Qualifications:

Required

High School Diploma/GED and Technical Drafting Degree in Mechanical Design
Familiar with using CAD 3D solid modeling drafting.
Experience with SolidWorks.
Knowledge of ANSI (American National Standards Institute) standards.
Effectively able to work as a team member and communicate with others.
Committed to improving and developing high quality, reliable design solutions.
Self-starter and able to adjust to changing customer and department needs.
Flexible – able to adjust to change of design /engineering needs or schedules.
Able to meet company objectives, assigned tasks, goals and other deadlines on time.

Pay range is $23-$25 per hour. This salary information serves as a general guideline. Several factors are considered when making an offer for this position including but not limited to work experience, education, geographic location, certifications, key skills, market and business conditions.
