CAD Engineer

Job Title: CAD Engineer

Roles and Responsibilities

• Convert raw field survey data (Total Station, GPS, Drone, LiDAR, or Mobile Mapping) into detailed AutoCAD drawings.
• Prepare topographic, as-built, and contour maps with accurate layering and annotation standards.
• Draft cross-sections, longitudinal profiles, and coordinate grids as per project requirements.
• Coordinate closely with field survey teams to clarify data discrepancies and ensure drawing accuracy.
• Maintain drawing templates, layers, symbols, and company CAD standards for all projects.
• Manage large datasets efficiently, ensuring drawings are clean, optimized, and ready for client submission.
• Work on projects involving road corridors, utilities, hydrographic, and building surveys.
• Support BIM, GIS, and 3D modeling teams with CAD base files and conversions when required.
• Review and QA/QC of drawings before submission to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Archive and document drawing versions systematically for easy retrieval and future reference.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Education: Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering / Surveying / Drafting or related field.
• Experience: 2–5 years in CAD drafting for surveying, engineering, or construction projects.
• Software Skills:
• AutoCAD (mandatory)
• Civil 3D, ReCap, Global Mapper, QGIS (preferred)
• Familiarity with Bentley or GIS platforms is a plus.
• Strong understanding of survey coordinate systems, levels, and geospatial data.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Good communication skills for coordination with field and project teams.
• Ability to work under pressure and deliver on tight deadlines.

Pay: From AED3,000.00 per month
