Cafe Associate

Job Overview
Sol Smoothie is seeking dependable, energetic, and highly organized full-time & part-time team members to oversee daily shop operations. This role requires a strong sense of responsibility, leadership, and the ability to manage both customer service and back-of-house operations.

Duties

• Prepare and serve menu items, including coffee drinks, smoothies, açaí bowls, toast, frozen yogurt, and other food and beverage offerings
• Maintain high standards of customer service, product quality, cleanliness, and presentation
• Operate Clover POS to process transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders, and upselling menu items to enhance their experience.
• Handle cash and card payments with accuracy, ensuring proper cash handling and register balancing at shift end.
• Maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, dining areas, and food handling zones in compliance with health regulations.
• Assist with cleaning, washing dishes, garbage removal, and ensuring the café remains tidy and inviting throughout your shift.
• Must be available 8:30am-4:30pm for Full-Time
• Part-time hours 10am-3pm

Experience

• Previous experience in food service or quick service & cafe setting is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is key!
• Knowledge of food handling, sanitation standards, and basic math skills for retail math and cash transactions is advantageous.
• Experience in customer service roles within the food industry or retail environment demonstrates strong interpersonal skills.
• The ability to manage time effectively during busy periods while maintaining attention to detail ensures smooth operations.
• Reliable and punctual

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced food service environment
• Detail-oriented and highly organized
• Prior café, smoothie bar, and/or food service experience preferred; barista experience a

plus

• Will train the right candidate

Pay: $16.00 - $25.00 per hour
