Cafe Barista

Job description:

The Barista is responsible for preparing and serving high-quality coffee, beverages while ensuring an exceptional guest experience. This role requires strong knowledge of coffee preparation & customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

Guest Service & Beverage Preparation

• Prepare and serve all types of hot and cold beverages, including specialty coffees, teas, and smoothies, according to standard recipes and presentation guidelines.
• Recommend beverage options and upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and revenue.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming service counter and seating area at all times.

Operational Responsibilities

• Operate coffee machines, grinders, blenders, and other café equipment safely and correctly.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist in stock control, ordering, and daily requisitions.
• Ensure proper labeling, dating, and storage of all products in compliance with food safety regulations.
• Handle cash, POS transactions, and shift reports accurately.

Food Safety & Hygiene

• Comply with all local health regulations and company standards related to hygiene, sanitation, and food safety (HACCP or equivalent).
• Conduct daily checks on food and beverage temperatures, equipment cleanliness.
