Call Center Representative

Job Title: Call Center Representative

Location: Houston, Texas, 77086

Shift: Day, (7:00 am - 6:00 pm - 8 hours shift)

Duration: 3 months + possible extension

Pay Range: $18/hr- $21/hr


Responsibilities:

  • Answer calls, research issues, work with other departments, and provide clear solutions.
  • Act as an advocate by assisting members and providers with complaints, appeals, and appointment scheduling.
  • Protect patient privacy by verifying caller identity and following HIPAA guidelines.
  • Document all interactions accurately and escalate complex issues when needed


Skills:

Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills

Knowledge of medical terminology and managed care processes

Excellent problem-solving and multitasking abilities

Typing speed of at least 35 WPM

Proficiency in call center systems, CRM tools, and healthcare platforms

Bilingual in English and Spanish (Preferred)


Required:

  • High School diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • 1 year Customer service experience within managed care or insurance industry
