Job Purpose:
The Labor Camp Boss is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the labor camp, ensuring that all residents' needs are met and that the camp facilities are maintained to the highest standards. This role involves supervising housekeeping, enforcing company policies, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Camp Operations Management:
- Supervise and manage daily operations of the labor camp.
- Ensure that accommodations, common areas, and amenities are clean and well-maintained.
- Conduct regular inspections of the camp to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
- Resident Welfare and Support:
- Address the needs and concerns of workers residing in the camp.
- Handle grievances and escalate issues to management when necessary.
- Maintain an updated list of all camp residents and ensure proper room allocation.
- Housekeeping and Maintenance Supervision:
- Oversee housekeeping staff and ensure that cleanliness standards are maintained.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams for timely repairs of facilities, utilities, and equipment.
- Health, Safety, and Security:
- Enforce company policies and camp rules to maintain discipline.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards.
- Report any incidents, emergencies, or safety violations promptly to the appropriate authorities.
- Logistics and Inventory Management:
- Manage inventory of camp supplies, including food, cleaning materials, and equipment.
- Ensure timely procurement and replenishment of essentials.
- Record-Keeping and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of resident occupancy, maintenance requests, and incident reports.
- Prepare and submit reports to management on camp activities and issues.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in camp management or a similar role.
- Skills:
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (MS Office).
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
Working Conditions:
- The role requires living on-site or being available on-call to manage emergencies.
- The candidate should be prepared to work in challenging environments and handle a diverse workforce.
