South Punjab Hospital is seeking a qualified and proactive Canteen Manager to oversee the daily operations of the hospital’s canteen. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of hygiene and food quality, ensuring efficient service for staff, patients, and visitors, and managing the canteen team. The manager will also be accountable for budgeting, inventory control, and compliance with health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the hospital canteen ensuring timely food service.
  • Supervise kitchen and service staff; organize work schedules and monitor performance.
  • Ensure strict adherence to food hygiene, cleanliness, and hospital health standards.
  • Plan and update menus in coordination with hospital dietitians to cater to patients, staff, and visitors.
  • Manage procurement, inventory control, and minimize wastage.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales, stock, and expenses; report regularly to hospital administration.
  • Handle cash and digital transactions; ensure transparency and accountability.
  • Ensure all canteen equipment is well-maintained and functioning properly.
  • Address feedback or complaints professionally and take corrective actions when needed.
  • Coordinate with hospital departments to support patient dietary needs when required.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree
  • At least 1 year of experience in food service management, preferably in a hospital or healthcare environment.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of food hygiene, safety regulations, and hospital dietary standards.
  • Proficiency in inventory and cash handling systems.
