Capacity Planner

Responsible for analyzing Driver Optimization solutions and assigning loads to HGT Capacity in compliance with federal safety regulations, such as Hours of Service

• Federal Regulations, geographic considerations, equipment constraints to maximize driver utilization
• Supports the development of market plan and is accountable for daily execution of all inbound and outbound loads for an assigned geographic territory
• Re-plans loads when necessary due to delays, equipment failure or driver issues
• Works with Intermodal Operations and Network Optimization to maximize equipment utilization and driver productivity
• Proactively works with Terminal Operations, Intermodal Operations and Account Management to confirm capacity coverage in advance of anticipated customer requirements
• Plans and implements initiatives to improve routing and equipment utilization consistent with customer expectations and Network needs
• Accountable for meeting established metrics, including loaded miles, driver utilization, service, safety and cost per load
• Daily, complete and resolve all outstanding load planning issues, or pending concerns and effectively communicate to the afterhours team

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor

• 's Degree from an accredited college or university preferred
0-1 years
• ' experience in transportation operations (truckload or intermodal) preferred
• Proficiency with transportation management systems in a large corporate environment preferred
• Strong organizational, analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Must be a self-starter and a highly motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment
• Available for weekend coverage on a rotating basis

Salary: $50,500- $55,000/year base salary + Bonus Eligibility
