Location: Gurgaon

Reports To: Chief Procurement Officer

Industry Exposure: Catering, Food Services, QSR

Education: Graduate in engineering, Supply Chain, or related field (MBA preferred)

Experience: 10 Years

CTC Budget: 10 LPA

A leading contract catering company in India, a Compass Group Company, offers services at over 65+ Industrial client locations. With its headquarters in Gurgaon, its business operations span over 12 states, and it has been in the industry for over two decades.

Role Summary

The Capex Procurement Lead will be responsible for managing all capital expenditure purchases related to the setup and expansion of a new kitchen facility. This includes sourcing, negotiating, and procuring kitchen equipment, infrastructure materials, and services while ensuring cost-effectiveness, quality, and timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Capex Planning & Execution
    • Collaborate with project, finance, and operations teams to define Capex requirements.
    • Develop procurement strategies for kitchen equipment, utilities, and infrastructure.
  • Vendor Management
    • Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers for Capex items.
    • Negotiate contracts, warranties, and service agreements.
  • Technical & Commercial Evaluation
    • Conduct technical assessments of equipment and materials.
    • Prepare comparative cost analysis and ROI projections.
  • Compliance & Documentation
    • Ensure procurement complies with internal policies and external regulations.
    • Maintain accurate records of contracts, approvals, and delivery schedules.
  • Project Coordination
    • Align procurement timelines with kitchen construction milestones.
    • Resolve issues related to delivery, installation, or quality.
  • Reporting & Analytics
    • Track CapEx spend vs. budget.
    • Generate reports for management on procurement status and savings.
Skills

  • Strong knowledge of kitchen equipment, utilities, and infrastructure sourcing.
  • Excellent negotiation, vendor management, and project coordination skills.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and procurement software.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.

Preferred Attributes

  • Experience in setting up commercial kitchens or food processing units.
  • Understanding of sustainability and energy-efficient equipment.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple stakeholders.
