About the Role:

As a Capital Planning Estimator, you will prepare detailed cost estimates from high-level conceptual designs and property assessments.

This job is part of the Building Consultancy function. They are responsible for specialist building services including surveying, inspections, and planning. This person can work REMOTE but needs to reside in Texas.


What You’ll Do:

  • Conduct property assessment research and generate estimates, incorporating pertinent supporting data.
  • Participate in cost benchmarking initiatives, considering client-specific attributes, prevailing market dynamics, and account trends.
  • Collaborate quarterly with facility and project management stakeholders to refine SOW requirements for select estimates, as necessary.
  • Participate in design and vision planning sessions, subsequently providing estimates derived from the finalized concepts.
  • Support internal teams in the preparation of project initiation documentation for client presentation, as required.
  • Apply a general understanding of standard principles and techniques to execute assigned tasks and resolve common issues.
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the primary job discipline and a working knowledge of related disciplines within the function.
  • Exemplify leadership and model behaviors aligned with CBRE RISE values.
  • Effectively communicate information, solicit clarification, and confirm comprehension as appropriate.
  • Operate within established procedures and practices to achieve objectives and adhere to deadlines.


What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 2-5 years of relevant construction estimating experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future
Preferred Skills:
  • Understanding of existing procedures and standards to solve slightly complex problems.
  • Ability to analyze possible solutions using technical experience to apply appropriate judgment and precedents.
  • Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
  • Advanced math skills. Ability to calculate complicated figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.
