Card Operations Specialist is responsible for leading all aspects of day-to-day debit and credit card operations, including issuance, transaction processing, fraud detection, and compliance. The role is responsible for ensuring the efficiency, accuracy, and compliance while contributing to improvements in service delivery and digital payments infrastructure.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities


    • Manage end-to-end debit and credit card issuance, ensuring timely delivery, operational efficiency, and seamless transaction processing.
    • Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs), providing insights to senior management for operational improvements.
    • Monitor card activity and manage card capturing, blocking/unblocking, and replacements.
    • Collaborate with product teams to design and customize credit card offerings.
    • Identify opportunities for operational improvement through digital payment solutions and technological advancements.
    • Oversee and execute reconciliation, settlement, and other operational support activities during the pilot phase, including account opening, onboarding, KYC, and related operations.
    • Oversee the resolution of disputes for Visa scheme and 1LINK cards, ensuring compliance with network guidelines and timely resolution of customer issues.
    • Monitor and resolve disputes, chargebacks, and exception cases, ensuring customer satisfaction and compliance with regulations.
    • Ensure adherence to payment network regulations (e.g., Visa, MasterCard) and industry standards (e.g., PCI DSS).
    • Implement effective fraud detection and prevention mechanisms in collaboration with security teams.
    • Deliver seamless, customer-centric card services and resolve card-related issues promptly to enhance satisfaction.
    • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to align card operations with the bank’s strategic objectives.
    • Handle procurement processes for card-related hardware (e.g., cabinets, printers) and consumables, including raising purchase orders and ensuring timely payment processing.
    • Manage key third-party vendors and partners ensuring adherence to SLAs and standards.

Requirements

  • 5-10 years experience managing debit and credit card operations in banking or financial services industry.
  • Strong understanding of banking payments, settlement, card services, payment networks, and regulatory requirements.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
