Responsibilities
- Read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to fully grasp requirements
- Take measurements and calculate the size and amount of material needed
- Perform demolition work, breaking down old structures and hauling materials away in preparation for some renovation projects
- Mix and pour concrete
- Cut and install rough framing
- Build window frames, doors, staircases, and frame buildings by using raw materials or pre-constructed items
- Install floorings, siding, roofing, drywall, etc. ensuring they are correct
- Install cabinets, doors, trim, and other finished products
- Inspect places and conduct repairs or maintenance
Requirements
- Proven experience as a carpenter
- Professional appearance and attitude
- Hands-on experience in working with carpentry materials
- Excellent understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction to include problem-solving
- Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools (powered saws, hammers, tape measures, etc.)
- Ability to read technical documents and drawings
- Willingness to follow safety guidelines at all times
- Good knowledge of English
- Good understanding of basic math
- Good physical condition and endurance
- Must be drug and alcohol free
- Must be reliable and on time
Job Type: Full-time
