Case Manager – Personal Injury & Mass Tort
Are you a case management powerhouse who thrives on keeping complex legal matters moving forward while ensuring every client feels cared for?
We’re seeking an experienced Case Manager to oversee a high-volume docket of personal injury and product liability cases. This is a management-level role where you’ll not only track and progress cases but also lead a team of paralegals and legal assistants — ensuring deadlines are met, clients are supported, and attorneys have what they need to achieve the best outcomes.
What You’ll Do
- Oversee a high-volume portfolio of personal injury, mass tort, and MDL cases from intake through settlement.
- Track deadlines and case milestones, ensuring filings, discovery, and lien resolutions stay on schedule.
- Supervise and coach support staff (paralegals, legal assistants, intake clerks), providing accountability and alignment with firm expectations.
- Support attorneys with settlement prep, lien resolution, and closing documentation.
- Uphold a gold standard in client care, maintaining proactive touchpoints and delivering consistent communication.
- Collaborate with operations and client experience leaders to streamline workflows, reporting, and vendor coordination.
What We’re Looking For
- 7–10 years in case management (personal injury, mass tort, or similar high-volume practice such as workers’ compensation or probate).
- 3–5 years of supervisory experience leading legal support teams.
- Demonstrated ability to manage 200+ active cases with competing priorities.
- Knowledge of lien resolution (Medicare, Medicaid, VA, private carriers).
- Strong client communication skills — empathetic, clear, and professional.
- Tech proficiency with case management software (Filevine preferred).
- A leadership style rooted in empathy, accountability, and collaboration — you lead by example, not ego.
Why Join Us
- Impact: Step into a pivotal role where your operational expertise directly drives client outcomes and case success.
- Culture: Join a collaborative, no-drama team that values kindness, excellence, and client-first service.
- Growth: This role offers room to grow into higher-level leadership opportunities (Practice Manager, Office Manager) as the firm scales.
- Compensation: Competitive base salary of $85,000 – $110,000, plus performance-based bonuses ($5,000 – $15,000 annually).
- Benefits: Health, dental, vision, 401(k) with match, generous PTO (after 90 days).
- Work Setup: Hybrid schedule (3 days onsite + 2 remote days)— On-site: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday at either Dublin or Columbus office (whichever location is closer to the hire)
- Remote: Tuesday and Friday
