Overview:
Provide direct assistance to assigned caseload of clients while ensuring adherence to conditions of the Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections and The Salvation Army Harbor Light Complex.
This position pays $20.00 / hour
Responsibilities:
- Supervise program residents on the assigned floor.

Supervise residents on assigned caseload, meeting with them as often as needed.

Assist and support treatment staff in resident’s program plan.

Urge resident participation in appropriate community activities.

Provide individual and group counseling as assigned.

Report accurate weekly statistics.

Refer residents to appropriate community treatment resources to achieve their program goals.

Ensure all resident bed checks and headcounts are being performed and documented.

Ensure that all people and materials are monitored for contraband.

Ensure all corrections residents are monitored through complete administration of check-in and check-out procedures.
Act as Team Leader as requested and perform other duties as instructed by your supervisor
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice or related field.

Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice or related field plus 2 years experience in the community corrections field..

Must be able to routinely lift and carry boxes weighing 50 pounds or more.

Must be able to use stairs, when necessary, for building evacuations, drills or during elevator maintenance.

Must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable by The Army’s insurance carrier.

Read and write legibly. Good communication skills.

Current CPR/First Aid certification or in process of obtaining.

Effective in dealing with the public and/or dealing with intoxicated individuals.
