Avari Hotel Lahore is looking for Cashier:

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect daily remittance envelopes from Safe Deposit Box with proper witness verification
  • Verify cash amounts against remittance envelopes and witness sheets
  • Prepare daily bank deposits ensuring accuracy with cashier totals
  • Maintain daily cash receipts records and summaries
  • Submit General Cashier summary to Income Auditor before 12:00 noon daily
  • Prepare petty cash vouchers and coordinate reimbursements with Accounts Payable
  • Maintain sufficient change funds for all hotel cashiers
  • Keep proper register of pending reimbursements for cashiers
  • Ensure daily bank deposits are completed accurately and on time
  • Report any discrepancies immediately to Income Auditor
  • Perform weekly cash counts and report to Assistant Controller and Banquet Costing
  • Assist Paymaster during month-end closing and provide relief during absence
  • Handle currency exchange transactions and record foreign exchange gains
  • Arrange bank certification of cheques when required
  • Disburse salaries for daily wage staff and maintain accurate records
  • Manage staff reimbursements including medical claims
  • Handle Provident Fund accounts including loans, deductions, and adjustments
  • Perform any additional duties as assigned by management

Cultural Awareness & Relationship Management

  • Maintain strong coordination with all operational departments for smooth financial communication and cash flow management

Job Requirements

Education:

  • B.Com or equivalent qualification

Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years overall experience
  • At least 1 year in a similar role preferred
  • Hospitality or restaurant industry experience will be an advantage

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and cash handling procedures
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and accounting systems
  • High level of honesty, integrity, and trustworthiness
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong time management and organizational abilities
  • Presentable and well-groomed personality

Language Requirement:

  • Proficient in written and spoken English and Urdu

Working Conditions

  • Office-based role with standard working hours
  • May require extended hours during audits or financial closing periods
