Duties

• Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases using POS (Point of Sale) systems for quick and accurate transactions
• Manage cash handling responsibilities with precision, including cash register operations and balancing drawers at shift end
• Provide product demos when applicable, highlighting features to enhance customer understanding and encourage sales
• Upsell related products by identifying customer needs and recommending suitable options to maximize sales opportunities
• Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring the sales floor is inviting and well-presented
• Assist with inventory management tasks such as stock replenishment and inventory counts to support store operations
• Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely

Requirements

• Prior experience in cashiering or retail sales preferred, especially within grocery stores or similar environments
• Strong communication skills, including bilingual abilities, to effectively serve diverse customers
• Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately and performing retail math calculations
• Knowledge of POS systems and cash handling procedures to ensure secure and efficient checkout processes
• Customer service-oriented mindset with the ability to build rapport quickly and resolve issues professionally
• Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership in team settings or training new staff
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and work flexible hours as needed
