Duties

• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges
• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting shoppers warmly and assisting with product questions
• Upsell products and promote store specials to enhance the customer experience and increase sales
• Conduct product demos when applicable to showcase features and benefits to customers
• Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are well-presented
• Handle cash, credit card transactions, and other payment methods with precision and integrity
• Practice excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely
• Assist with inventory management through stocking, organizing, and participating in periodic stock counts

Experience

• Previous cashiering experience in a retail or grocery store environment preferred but not required
• Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures essential for accuracy
• Strong communication skills in both verbal and written forms; bilingual abilities are a plus
• Demonstrated ability to provide outstanding customer service in a fast-paced setting
• Basic math skills necessary for handling transactions, giving change, and balancing registers
• Supervising experience is advantageous for those interested in leadership opportunities within the team
• Knowledge of merchandising, retail math, upselling techniques, and grocery store operations is highly valued
