Responsibilities

• Operate cash registers accurately, managing retail sales transactions efficiently while maintaining a high level of customer service.
• Handle cash drawer with care, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed at all times.
• Assist customers with product inquiries, providing knowledgeable recommendations and product demos when needed.
• Upsell relevant products to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales opportunities.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area, restocking supplies and merchandising as necessary.
• Communicate effectively with customers using phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting remotely.
• Support stock management activities by stocking shelves and organizing merchandise to ensure an inviting store environment.

Experience

• Previous cashiering experience in a retail setting is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
• Familiarity with POS systems and retail math to handle transactions accurately.
• Strong communication skills, including bilingual abilities, are a plus to serve diverse customer bases effectively.
• Demonstrated ability to perform basic math quickly and accurately for cash handling and sales calculations.
• Supervising experience is advantageous for those interested in growth opportunities within the team.
• Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, merchandising, and customer service best practices will support your success in this role.
