Cashier

Overview
We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Cashier to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will provide excellent customer service, handle transactions accurately, and contribute to a positive shopping experience. This role is perfect for individuals with strong communication skills and a background in retail sales, grocery store operations, or customer service. Bilingual abilities are a plus to assist diverse customer needs.

Duties

• Operate POS systems efficiently to process sales transactions accurately and quickly
• Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service throughout their shopping experience
• Handle cash, credit, and debit card payments with precision and responsibility
• Assist with product demos and upselling to enhance sales opportunities
• Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are well-presented
• Conduct inventory checks and assist with stock replenishment as needed
• Promote store promotions and special offers to customers to increase sales
• Ensure the checkout area remains clean, organized, and welcoming
• Provide friendly phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone or taking inquiries

Requirements

• Previous cashiering or retail sales experience
• Proficiency with POS systems and basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively
• Ability to perform cashier duties accurately under pressure during busy hours
• Supervising experience is a plus for leadership roles or team support responsibilities
• Bilingual skills are highly desirable to serve a diverse customer base
• Knowledge of merchandising, stocking, and product demos is advantageous
• Excellent customer service skills with a professional demeanor at all times
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced retail environment while maintaining attention to detail

Pay: From $14.00 per hour
