Cashier/Customer Service

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our team. In this role, you will be the face of our store, providing exceptional customer service while handling transactions and assisting with various retail operations. Your ability to engage with customers and ensure a positive shopping experience will be crucial to our success.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them with their inquiries, ensuring a friendly shopping atmosphere.
• Operate the cash register and process transactions accurately using POS systems.
• Maintain knowledge of store products and promotions to effectively assist customers with their purchases.
• Perform retail math to handle cash transactions, including giving change and processing returns.
• Stock shelves and organize merchandise to ensure the store is well-presented and fully stocked.
• Conduct product demos and provide information on promotions to enhance customer engagement and sales.
• Supervise junior staff members when necessary, ensuring adherence to store policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and maintain high standards of customer service.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a grocery store or retail environment is preferred.
• Strong customer service skills with a passion for helping others.
• Familiarity with cash registers, POS systems, and retail sales processes.
• Basic understanding of retail math for accurate transaction handling.
• Ability to supervise and guide team members effectively.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and customer satisfaction.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $10.00 - $13.09 per hour
