Overview

Catalog Manager - Retail Business Services (RBS), Bangalore. operates in a global eCommerce environment with Retail, third party marketplaces, eCommerce platforms, and web services for developers. The RBS group in Bangalore is part of the online product life cycle and buying operations, focused on creating and enhancing retail selection on the worldwide Amazon online catalog. The team's work directly impacts customer buying decisions and the online user experience.

Key job responsibilities
  • Lead an Operations team supporting multiple categories that populates/procures content for the Amazon Catalog, work with sellers to ensure a reliable and operationally effective flow of products, and interact directly with Amazon internal customers across the globe (US, Canada, France, Germany, UK, India, China and Japan) to deliver to their requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Category team to ensure overall process health, plan, organize and direct the work of subordinates or others, outline procedures and instructions on work received, estimate time for new jobs, and check the accuracy/quality of content creation and population.
  • Work with 3P Sellers to ensure a reliable and operationally effective flow of products.
  • Partner with internal teams and Product partners to improve processes and reduce order discrepancies; ensure seller compliance and scalable communication processes.
  • Troubleshoot and drive resolutions with sellers to ensure reliable and operationally effective flow of products; improve processes and reduce discrepancies; ensure seller compliance and scalable communication processes.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., Merchant services, supply chain, fulfillment center, system teams) to drive tools and process improvements affecting seller workflows.
  • Demonstrate willingness to learn new technology and take on leadership responsibilities (People Management).
  • Formulate, implement, and track career paths and Individual Development Plans for each team member.
  • Manage operations and seller metrics; mentor and guide Quality Lead / Process Expert to manage quality, improve process efficiency, minimize variation, and design/deliver trainings for the team.
  • Ensure high service delivery and execution while managing the team.
Basic Qualifications
  • 2+ years of team management experience
  • 2+ years of program or project management experience
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word & PowerPoint
  • Experience leading process improvements
  • Experience working with technology teams and solving operational issues using technology
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of databases (querying and analyzing) such as SQL, MySQL, and ETL Manager; experience working with large data sets
  • Knowledge of Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma concepts
  • Experience managing critical operational processes with SLA responsibility
