Job Description
Job Purpose
The Category Development Manager will manage the process of developing a product or enhancing existing GF products to meet customer expectations effectively and maintaining high profit margins & quality. Conduct research, develop proposals, and supervise the design, ability to identify opportunities to introduce competitive products to the market and improve existing products.
Key Accountabilities
Product Development:

Lead and manage the products developments for GNF based the products development overall strategy

To develop innovative products based on customer needs & market trends resulting in strong revenue growth.

To lead the exercise of launching/relaunching a new Private label product and submit it to for approval through the agreed upon process/committee
based on GNF products strategy
-
Support marketing and sales in development of product specifications.

Evaluates and decides on best problem solving-solution to ensure the balance among time, cost, and quality objectives throughout the product lifecycle.

Determines customers' needs and desires by specifying the research needed to obtain market information.

Preparing return-on-investment analyses; establishing time schedules with engineering and manufacturing.

Anticipating volume; costing special and customized orders such as special events products to Charity or seasonal products developed specifically
Category Management:

Promote process changes to improve completion schedules and cost reductions in products and department expenses.

Support outsourcing programs and key procurement initiatives such as new supplier innovative products and range

Lead and manage to facilitate inventory turnover and product availability by reviewing and adjusting inventory levels and production schedules.

Manager the introduces and markets new products by developing time-integrated plans with operation, advertising, and production.
Packaging & Innovation:

Recommends the nature and scope of present and future product lines by reviewing product specifications and requirements

Manage the appraising new product ideas and/or product or packaging changes and lead the required change.

Reviewing production and operational costs for GNF products
Quality:

Support with the team in technical packaging aspects and manage the direction of generating an innovative Engineering organization that delivers high
quality GNF products to the end consumers

Assesses market competition by comparing the company's product to competitors' products in term of Quality & Cost
People Development:

Provides leadership, coaching, performance reviews, and other personnel management functions for direct reports.

Guides the team to create innovative solutions

Maintains product management staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
Skills
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in business or Engineering
Experience
Minimum 5 – 7 years’ experience in related field
