CATH LAB NURSE

Role:
A Cath Lab Scrub Nurse assists doctors and the cardiac care team during cardiac catheterization and other interventional heart procedures in the Cath Lab.

Main Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain a sterile field and set up instruments & equipment before procedures.
• Assist the cardiologist during procedures (e.g., angiography, angioplasty, stent placement) by passing instruments and anticipating needs.
• Monitor patients’ vital signs and condition during the procedure and help respond to any emergent changes.
• Prepare patients for procedures (e.g., check identity, equipment, comfort) and provide post-procedure care as needed.
• Ensure infection control and aseptic technique throughout the procedure.
• Accurately document patient status, procedure details, medications, and instruments used.
• Coordinate with other Cath Lab staff (doctors, nurses, technicians) for smooth workflow.

Qualification Required : Bsc Nursing or DGNM or Relavant qualifications

Experience : 2 to 5 years
