CDL- CLASS A DRIVER

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced CDL- Class A Driver to join our team. This role involves operating tractor-trailers to transport freight efficiently and safely across various routes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of commercial driving regulations, demonstrate excellent driving skills, and be committed to maintaining high safety standards. As a vital part of our logistics operations, the CDL- Class A Driver will ensure timely deliveries while adhering to all safety and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailers with manual transmission across designated routes, ensuring safe and efficient delivery of freight.
• Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or roll-off trucks, ensuring proper handling and securement.
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle inspections, and delivery documentation in compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to identify mechanical issues and ensure vehicle safety standards are met.
• Route driving efficiently to meet delivery schedules while managing time effectively.
• Handle load securement, weight distribution, and trailer maintenance as required.
• Communicate professionally with dispatchers, clients, and team members regarding delivery status or issues encountered during routes.

Experience

• Proven truck driving experience with a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A.
• Experience operating manual transmission trucks preferred.
• Familiarity with load & unload procedures and route driving across diverse terrains.
• Delivery driver experience in handling freight, including forklift operation for loading/unloading cargo.
• Knowledge of safety protocols related to trucking operations such as roll-off trucks and dump trucks.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain accurate records and comply with DOT regulations.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
