Border Tire is hiring a Center Manager in Paramount, CA! This is a great opportunity for a current member of the team!
The Center Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of a commercial tire center, servicing trucks, earthmover, industrial, agricultural, passenger, and light truck customers. Ensures growth of sales, profit, and customer service. Oversee and manage the execution of production in the center assuring accordance with state and local laws.
Responsibilities:
- Makes sure all employees abide by safety guidelines including implementation and execution of cardinal safety rules. (e.g. TIA, OSHA & MSHA).
- Accountable for the financial and administrative aspects of the business (e.g. P&L, Budgeting, Forecasting, Proper cost accounting, Reports, etc.)
- Responsible to ensure efficient and effective utilization, protection, and management of company assets on a 24/7/365 basis.
- Provide excellent customer delivery and service execution.
- Reinforce “Value Proposition” to tailor solutions to customer needs with sales personnel.
- Identify customer service needs and grow the service capabilities and total service contribution to the tire center; measure and improve service productivity and service quality.
- Conduct customer fleet review visits with the top 20 customers and target fleets each quarter.
- Identify and work toward the resolution of all customer service issues and concerns.
- Provide leadership and training to all personnel in the tire center.
- Develop, coach, and motivate employees to create an open, supportive and positive culture to maximize the potential of individuals and achieve efficiency and top performance across all metrics.
- Identify and work toward the resolution of all associate issues and concerns through daily interaction
- Recruit for all center positions with final decision authority.
- Promote team effectiveness and a positive work environment.
- Ensure that all personnel in the Center work together to produce the best results for the Center, Region, Division, and Company.
- Keep personnel informed of company announcements, changes, and other information.
- Develop appropriate staff levels based on current sales volume and market conditions to ensure variability of staff-level using full-time, part-time, and temporary associates.
- Maintains professional appearance.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3 years of management experience (Preferred).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- People development and coaching skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
