Essential Duties include, but are not limited to the following:Responsibilities:- Plan and procure adequate supply levels for the nursing department and other departments, as needed.
- Maintain adequate inventory levels to ensure supplies and equipment are consistently available.
- Ensure deliveries are accurate, in good condition and properly invoiced.
- Maintain clean and organize storage areas, labeling and rotating supplies.
- Maintain accurate and thorough records of all items in the inventories.
- Deliver supplies to specific staff and/or departments.
- Ensure vendors provide appropriate safety sheets and materials.
- Maintain a reference of procurement procedures, current standards and regulations.
- Ensure appropriate departments are charged for equipment or supplies.
- Coordinate the invoices are verify approvals are submitted to the business office timely.
- Maintain an organized, safe and clean supply environment in accordance with facility policies
- Monitor the use of supplies in accordance with company guidelines.
- Service equipment, troubleshoot issues and find resolution when necessary.
Required Skills/Abilities:- Ability to follow the principles of safe body mechanics in all aspects of lifting and carrying supplies.
- Proficient with computer databases.
- Basic math and accounting skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively and empathetically with Residents, their family members and staff at every level of the organization.
- Able to pass an Oregon DHS background check.
- Except, understand and follow instructions in English.
- Effective problem solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including, patience, empathy and compassion.
- Effective communication skills, including the ability to speak English.
- Active listening, writing and reading comprehension.
- Excellent collaboration and teamwork skills.
- Attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast paced environment.
- Maintain confidentiality of all resident care and family information in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
Education and Experience:- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One year of relevant work experience, preferably in a long-term care setting.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
Preferred Skills:- Previous experience in a healthcare facility.
- Previous experience in inventory supply.
Physical Requirements:- Able to stand and walk for extended period of time while delivering supplies through the facility.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull supplies weighing up to 50 lbs. regularly and occasionally more with assistance.
- Frequent bending, reaching, stooping, and twisting while stocking supply areas, laundry rooms, and supply closets.
- Ability to push carts and trash barrels through hallways and services areas.
- Ability to grip, handle, and move boxes and supply containers safely and efficiently.
