Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Certified Medical Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team. Duties
- Perform patient intake by collecting comprehensive medical histories and documenting vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
- Assist with non-injection aesthetic and wellness treatments including:
- Body contouring treatments
- Device-based treatments
- Treatment room preparation and turnover
- Ensure treatment rooms remain stocked, clean, and ready
- Support clinical workflows by preparing examination rooms, sterilizing equipment, and managing supplies/inventory.
- Assist with on site blood draws, lab order preparation and specimen handling. Ensure lab results are received and accessible in the EHR.
- Manage administrative tasks including ICD coding for diagnoses, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and maintaining accurate medical records.
- Monitor patient conditions by taking and recording vital signs; facilitate patient education on treatment plans and post-procedure care.
- Work closely with front desk and providers to maintain efficient workflow, communicate delays or concerns promptly
- Support a positive, professional team culture
Requirements
- Valid certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program; certification must be current.
- Proven experience in dermatology, hospital medicine, urgent care, or outpatient clinics.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology.
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems for documentation and coding purposes such as ICD coding.
- Ability to perform clinical procedures including intake assessments, vital sign measurement, medication administration
- Excellent patient service skills with a compassionate approach to diverse patient needs; ability to work efficiently in high-paced environment.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications may be required, such as IV cerification.
