Certified Medical Assistant

Job Summary

Duties

• Perform patient intake by collecting comprehensive medical histories and documenting vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
• Assist with non-injection aesthetic and wellness treatments including:
• Body contouring treatments
• Device-based treatments
• Treatment room preparation and turnover
• Ensure treatment rooms remain stocked, clean, and ready
• Support clinical workflows by preparing examination rooms, sterilizing equipment, and managing supplies/inventory.
• Assist with on site blood draws, lab order preparation and specimen handling. Ensure lab results are received and accessible in the EHR.
• Manage administrative tasks including ICD coding for diagnoses, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and maintaining accurate medical records.
• Monitor patient conditions by taking and recording vital signs; facilitate patient education on treatment plans and post-procedure care.
• Work closely with front desk and providers to maintain efficient workflow, communicate delays or concerns promptly

Requirements

• Valid certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program; certification must be current.
• Proven experience in dermatology, hospital medicine, urgent care, or outpatient clinics.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology.
• Proficiency with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems for documentation and coding purposes such as ICD coding.
• Ability to perform clinical procedures including intake assessments, vital sign measurement, medication administration
• Excellent patient service skills with a compassionate approach to diverse patient needs; ability to work efficiently in high-paced environment.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications may be required, such as IV cerification.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $27.58 per hour
