Duties

• Prepare and dispense medications accurately under the supervision of licensed pharmacists, ensuring compliance with all safety protocols.
• Assist with medication intake, verifying prescriptions, and updating patient records with precision.
• Support IV infusion procedures by maintaining aseptic technique and ensuring sterile compounding standards are met.
• Manage pharmacy inventory, including stock replenishment and proper storage of medications in accordance with hospital policies.
• Provide exceptional patient service by answering medication-related questions and supporting patient care initiatives.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure timely medication administration and optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain detailed documentation of medication preparation, administration, and inventory activities to ensure regulatory compliance.

Experience

• Proven pharmacy technician experience in hospital or acute care settings, with a focus on LTC pharmacy or critical care environments preferred.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, medication safety protocols, and aseptic techniques essential for handling sterile preparations.
• Experience with IV infusion therapies and medication administration within hospital or clinical settings is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments requiring attention to detail and adherence to strict protocols.
• Prior exposure to patient service roles emphasizing compassionate communication and teamwork in healthcare settings.
