Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to join our dynamic finance team. Duties
- Prepare and review comprehensive financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and regulatory requirements
- Conduct detailed audits, ensuring compliance with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) controls and internal policies
- Manage tax planning, preparation, and filing processes, including experience with tax accounting and estate/Trust planning strategies
- Perform account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and general ledger accounting to maintain accurate financial records
- Analyze financial data to support mergers & acquisitions, investment decisions, and asset management initiatives
- Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, and other financial tools for bookkeeping, payroll processing, and financial report writing
- Support non-profit accounting functions and regulatory reporting requirements as needed
- Assist with budgeting, financial analysis, and interpretation of financial reports to inform strategic decision-making
- Conduct audits of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other key financial transactions to ensure accuracy
Qualifications
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license required with proven experience in public accounting or corporate finance
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, SOX compliance standards, securities law, and regulatory frameworks
- Demonstrated expertise in tax experience including estate/Trust planning and tax strategies
- Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, and other relevant tools
- Extensive experience in financial statement preparation, analysis skills, and technical accounting practices
- Familiarity with LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit), private equity concepts, mergers & acquisitions processes
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial concepts and perform account analysis
- Strong understanding of double entry bookkeeping principles and debits & credits management
- Ability to perform detailed account reconciliation and balance sheet reconciliation efficiently
- Effective communication skills for preparing detailed financial reports and collaborating across teams

Pay: $78,717.64 - $125,000.00 per year
