Chairside Dental Assistant

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced dental office. The ideal candidate will have experience in a variety of dental procedures and be comfortable working with patients of all ages. Experience is preferred but we will train the right candidate. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the office, providing exceptional patient care, and assisting the dental team in delivering high-quality services. Pay will be based on certifications, experience and skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, including Cerec, Crown and Bridge, Endodontics, Invisalign and Pediatric dentistry.
  • Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations by ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are ready.
  • Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and update patient information in Eaglesoft or similar systems.
  • Manage patient flow by greeting patients, scheduling appointments, and handling inquiries at the front desk as a Dental receptionist.
  • Monitor and assist with patient comfort during procedures.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
  • Sterilize instruments and maintain cleanliness of the clinical environment according to infection control protocols.
  • Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient clinic operations.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred but will train the right candidate.
  • Proficient in using dental software systems such as Eaglesoft for managing patient records.
  • Knowledge of dental procedures, terminology, and instruments is essential.
  • Ability to provide basic patient care support.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Certification in Dental Assisting or relevant qualifications is preferred but not mandatory.
