Charge Hand- Construction

The Chargehand is responsible for supervising and coordinating site labor to ensure construction activities for villas and high-rise buildings are carried out safely, efficiently, and according to approved drawings, specifications, and project schedules. The role acts as a link between the Foreman and site workforce.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and allocate daily tasks to skilled and unskilled workers on site
• Ensure construction works for villas and high-rise buildings are executed as per drawings, method statements, and specifications
• Monitor productivity and workmanship quality of labor teams
• Coordinate with Foreman, Site Engineer, and subcontractors for smooth workflow
• Ensure compliance with UAE construction standards, safety regulations, and company HSE policies
• Check material usage, availability, and report shortages or damages
• Assist in setting out works and basic measurements as instructed
• Identify site issues and report technical or safety concerns to the Foreman/Site Engineer
• Maintain discipline, attendance, and proper conduct of site workers
• Support inspections and quality checks by consultants and engineers
• Ensure proper housekeeping and safe working conditions at all times
• Luxury and standard villa construction (structural, blockwork, finishing works)
• High-rise residential or commercial buildings
• Experience in concrete works, formwork, reinforcement, masonry, and finishing trades

Qualifications

• Diploma or Trade Certificate in Construction / Civil Works (preferred)
• Minimum 5–8 years of UAE construction experience
• Proven experience as Chargehand or Senior Skilled Worker
