Charge Nurse Wanted – Nauru Medical Centre
Location: Republic of Nauru

Nauru Medical Centre is seeking an experienced and dynamic Charge Nurse to lead and coordinate nursing teams in delivering safe, high-quality patient care. This leadership role is vital in ensuring smooth daily operations, mentoring staff, and maintaining clinical excellence across the facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate nursing staff during shifts
• Ensure safe, effective, and patient-centered care delivery
• Support and mentor nurses through training, guidance, and performance feedback
• Collaborate with doctors and multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Monitor adherence to infection control and hospital policies
• Handle staffing, scheduling, and allocation of duties
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and incident reporting

Requirements

• Registered Nurse (RN) with valid license in home country
• Minimum 5 years of nursing experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory/leadership role
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to lead and inspire teams in a multicultural, resource-limited setting
• Advanced certification in leadership or specialty nursing (preferred)
