We are seeking a qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) to join our Real Estate company to support and manage daily accounting and finance operations. The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining financial records, preparing financial and management reports, supporting audits, ensuring statutory compliance, and contributing to budgeting and financial planning processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounting & Bookkeeping
- Record day-to-day financial transactions related to real estate sales, leases, and project expenses.
- Maintain accurate general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll records.
- Ensure timely reconciliation of bank statements and project-wise accounting.
- Manage month-end and year-end closing activities.
Financial Reporting
- Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
- Generate MIS reports for management, including project profitability, collection status, and cost tracking.
- Support real estate-specific reporting needs such as RERA compliance and escrow account management.
Taxation & Compliance
- Prepare and file tax returns (GST, TDS, Income Tax) and ensure timely tax payments.
- Handle RERA compliance, property tax filings, and liaise with tax consultants and authorities.
- Monitor regulatory compliance related to real estate laws and finance.
Audit & Controls
- Support statutory, internal, and tax audits with complete documentation.
- Strengthen internal controls over project finances, vendor payments, and revenue recognition.
- Implement and monitor SOPs for financial and operational processes.
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Assist in the preparation of project budgets, forecasts, and cost estimates.
- Perform variance analysis and advise on cost control measures.
- Support financial planning for upcoming real estate projects.
Other Financial Operations
- Manage relationships with banks, financial institutions, and investors.
- Monitor cash flow, fund flow, and capital allocation across projects.
- Support financial due diligence for new property acquisitions or JVs.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) – completed Articleship and CA Final.
- Strong knowledge of real estate finance, taxation, and regulatory compliance.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, SAP, QuickBooks, MS Excel).
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and meet strict deadlines.
Preferred Attributes:
- Experience in the real estate or construction industry.
- Knowledge of RERA regulations, escrow accounting, and project cost tracking.
- Exposure to IFRS or IND AS standards is a plus.
- Proactive mindset with strong ownership and attention to detail.
