The profession of an Arabic chef primarily involves designing and cooking traditional Middle Eastern dishes. Responsible for menu creation, ingredient procurement, and ensuring excellent quality of meals. Tasks include meticulous meal preparation, spice blending, and embracing cultural culinary techniques.

Responsibilities:

  • Create Arabic dishes according to recipes and menu specifications.
  • Ensure food is prepared and served in a timely manner.
  • Monitor food stock levels and place orders when necessary.
  • Train and manage kitchen staff members.
  • Ensure compliance with food hygiene and health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with restaurant management to design new menu items and specials.
  • Supervise food presentation and garnishing on plates.
  • Ensure kitchen equipment is maintained and cleaned regularly.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Arabic cuisine and cooking techniques
  • Experience in working in a high-volume kitchen environment
  • Ability to manage a team of kitchen staff and delegate tasks effectively
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
  • Creativity in developing new dishes and menu items
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Physical ability to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy objects.
