TIME Ruby Hotel Apartments is currently looking for energetic and passionate candidates for a Chef De Partie to join our team. The ideal candidate, preferably with previous experience in a similar role in reputed hospitality organizations and the ability to fulfill the following core responsibilities.
Job Responsibilities:
- Takes care of daily food preparation and duties assigned to him to meet the standard and quality set by the hotel.
- Prepares the daily mis-en-place and food production in different sections of the main kitchen or satellites.
- Ensures the highest standards and consistent quality in the daily preparation.
- Keeps up-to-date with new products, recipes, and preparation techniques.
- Checks periodically expiry dates and proper storage of food items in the section.
- Fairly treats, instructs, and leads subordinates through their daily requirements in food preparation.
- Guides and trains subordinates on a daily basis to ensure a high motivation and economical working environment.
- Actively takes part in the setup and supervising of buffets and special functions.
- Conducts daily pre-shift briefings with the Demi Chef.
- Makes a weekly schedule for demi-chef, Commis I, II & III.
- Coordinates daily tasks with the Sous Chef or Executive chef.
- Coordinates and participates with other sections on requirements, cleanliness, wastage, and cost control.
- Consults daily with the Sous Chef and Executive chef on the daily requirements, functions, and last-minute events.
- Checks daily time sheets to ensure they are correctly filled at the section, prepares a weekly roster, and keeps overtime to a minimum.
- Attends and participates in the daily pre-shift briefings/meeting with the Executive Chef.
