Job Summary:

The Chef de Partie – Pastry & Bakery is responsible for preparing high-quality pastries, desserts, and baked goods while maintaining hygiene and food safety standards. This role involves overseeing a specific section of the pastry and bakery kitchen, managing junior chefs, and ensuring smooth operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, bake, and present a variety of pastries, desserts, and bread.
  • Ensure consistency in taste, texture, and presentation of all products.
  • Develop new recipes and seasonal dessert menus in collaboration with the Head Pastry Chef.
  • Maintain high standards of food hygiene and safety.
  • Follow HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) guidelines.
  • Ensure proper storage, labeling, and rotation of ingredients to minimize waste.
  • Introduce new pastry and bakery items to enhance the menu.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and incorporate modern pastry techniques.
  • Work with the team to create special event and festive dessert items.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Chef de Partie in a pastry or bakery section.
  • Diploma or certification in Pastry Arts, Baking, or Culinary Arts is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, baking methods, and dessert plating.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage time efficiently.
  • Excellent teamwork and leadership skills.
  • Attention to detail and a passion for creativity in pastry arts.
