Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Sales Representative with a strong background in the chemical manufacturing industry. The role requires driving business development, client relationship management, and sales growth for chemical products across industrial and specialty segments. The ideal candidate will leverage their technical knowledge and market expertise to identify opportunities, expand customer base, and achieve sales targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue and profitability goals in assigned regions/segments.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in domestic and international markets.
- Manage and expand relationships with existing clients, distributors, and channel partners.
- Provide technical sales support by understanding customer requirements and recommending suitable chemical solutions.
- Collaborate with R&D, production, and quality teams to align product offerings with customer specifications.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with customers while ensuring profitability and long-term partnerships.
- Conduct market analysis, competitor benchmarking, and pricing strategy to stay ahead of industry trends.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and performance analysis for management review.
- Represent the company at industry exhibitions, trade shows, and networking events.
Key Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's/Master's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Business Management (with technical background preferred).
- Experience: 10-15 years of proven sales experience in chemical manufacturing or specialty chemicals industry.
- Strong knowledge of industrial chemicals, specialty chemicals, adhesives, coatings, or related applications.
- Demonstrated ability to achieve and exceed sales targets.
- Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and travel extensively for client visits and business development.
